my bold lady

This lady is quite famous for taking bold steps that becomes the talk of India.

From reproaching Sonia Gandhi publicly to banning all the incentives to Tamil Nadu Government Employees, she made a daring move and faced the consequences too.

When government employees went on strike for some bla bla demands, She resigned all of them and immediately substituted with temp employees. (imagine if Karunaithi was in the CM post, he would have shaked his head up and down for those demands)

I am neither the supporter of Jayalalithaa nor Karunanithi.
I do accept that she is the one who swindled crores and crores of rupees in her last rule from 91-96. I think she has realised and changed now.

Latestly again she was in the hot seat for crashing all the entrance tests (TNPCEE) for Professional courses (like B.E, B.Arch, M.B.B.S etc.). She declared that only +2 marks are suffice for entering into Engg. Colleges.

I welcome come her move for
* A rural student earning good marks in +2 needs to prepare again for entrance. This needs money for him to buy those books and to go for entrance coaching
* The self financing colleges stand divided in conducting their own entrance tests on the same day making the students and their parents get into trouble.
* The middle and lower class family are exploited by fake entrance coaching centres in deciding their children's future

Hi,

I also agree that she is a bold lady. She dares to do anything and I like the most in her.

But the move that she is taking now is not wise at all. You welcome her move for some reasons and I will tell you other things.

If that comes into effect,

1. "A rural student" - You know only some state ranks come from rural. All the top ranks (99% - 95%) come from the towns and cities where +2 coaching and tests are good.

2. Now the ratio of male and female in a good engineering college is about 3:1. But after this, it would surely become 1:3. Our boys will show only in entrances exams. Girls will mug up everything in their +2 and get more than 95% easily. (Reference: Our IT Class)

3. No coaching classes are like spoon feed. It will show only the path to success. The students have to study themselves. So here fake things will not work out.

4. For self financing colleges, this would be a boon. They will give admission iff there is money. So middle class families cannot imagine.

5. Finally, if this happens, no software company will approach Tamilnadu colleges for recruitment. If I have a company, I would not recruit people from Tamilnadu colleges.

I hope this would not happen.

I completely disagree with our CM's latest initiative. +2 marks can be sometimes very unfair. A lot of luck is involved. And the TNPCEE is not too difficult anyway, in fact the syllabi is taken only from the +2 books. I don't think anybody needs to attend these coaching classes purely for TNPCEE.
