It all started with a proper plan for a bike trip to SriSailam. Myself & Mouly gathered all possible information for the trip and found that its a risk to travel through GHAT roads after sunset. So the plan for a bike trip to Srisailam was changed at the last moment to Nagarjuna Sagar which is just 160 kms from hyderabad (when compared to 220 kms of SriSailam) and is void of ghat roads
The agenda was to start from home @ 5:30 AM and to travel @ the max for 5 hours with intermittent breaks to reach Nagajuna Sagar by 11 AM. But the first step of getting up early @ 5:30 itself made the trip doubtful, as my roomies are well aware of my wake-up time :)
Somehow we got up (including me) and started from home @ 5:50 (with the usual delay of Indians:). Three Bikes : Bajaj Pulsar 150, 180 & Splendour burned their fuel towards the dam.Only one guy knows the path (Mouly) that too only one information i.e Sagar road will lead to Nagarjuna Sagar dam. But how to catch the Sagar road? We inquired the joggers, autowalas, rounding the hyderabad and atlast got the Sagar road @7:30
Our great bike journey started then, it was a single road stretching for about 150 kms to the dam. We rided our bikes to reach the top speed of 100 kmph... and on an average - 70 Kmph
It was a great trip except with a small skid for Mugunthan with Splendour. On reaching the dam, we gone for a boat ride to an island Museum. We were almost exhausted that we didn't visit the museum, instead took a small nap beneath the trees
The return was more thrill coz it was almost sunset and the dark was spreading. We are 100 km far from Hyderabad, also the Splendour didn't light up. So Muruga with his Pulsar 180cc lead the team followed by Mouly with the Splendour in the middle and myself @ the back with Pulsar 150cc. The idea is to provide light to Mouly and so we were travelling at a constant speed. Its like an Ant row, we have crossed 100 kms with an avg speed of 50 kmph
It was a fusion of excitement, thrill & risk we experienced from the great bike trip.
The total kms we have travelled on the single day reached abt 400 kms (to: 197 & fro: 195)
Great isn't it?
