I just finished formatting the entire novel in Wikisource.

When I first saw it, the contents were there but were badly placed, like the conversations are clogged into single paragraph.

Formatting the chapters (count: 77) took almost a day to complete. Nevertheless enjoyed reading it again while doing. I also added image to the main page and indexes. :-)

This is the first time I am contributing something in wikisource. great feeling !

I started first few chapters very casually in wiki, but couldn't stop reading this historic novel day and night, in office and home :) It took me 1000 years back into the Chola kingdom. I felt my body and mind swinging back and forth between 1000 AD and 2010 AD.

The narration is easy to read and simply superb - தேன் தமிழ் வார்த்தைகள்!

Vamba keera palayam

Vamba(a) keera pa(a)layam, a small livelihood area just outside the famous oval ring road (boulevard) of Pondicherry town. It is situated at the south east end along the seashore, where a road from the ring splits out and is located between the old harbour and the new harbour light house.

Palayam can be referred to something like 'shire', a very common subname that denotes a locality. I have no idea why the place got the name 'Vambakeerapalayam' :-)

Vambakeerapalayam is a mix of both town and village. It has a panchayat within it and most people here are fishermen who worship sea as their god. The god of the land is 'Angaala Parameshwari' an avatar of Sakthi, the wife of god Shiva. They celebrate an annual festival every year and it will be wonderful to see the gods while in procession.

The famous Indira Gandhi stadium which hosts Independence and Republic day parades, 150 years old Petit Seminaire school, Electricity & Agriculture departments of Pondicherry are all stone throw away from this place.

Inspite of all this, Vambakeerapalayam is notorious for fights within and outside with other sea villages, many times ending up with spilling of blood. A small boy who was born and brought up there knew a little about this but never understood why. He joined a school ran by a visionary and passed out with more than 90%. He then pursued engineering and cleared out with distinction, plus a job in hand. He then for the first time moved out of this place to Trivandrum, Hyderabad, Atlanta(US), Chennai, Sheffield(UK) and now in Peterborough (UK). For nearly six years, he is out of this place but made frequent visits to this.

This place, Vambakeerapalyam, is always so special for him and... his name is Karthigeyan.

I accidentally happened to revisit Mahabharata, which I watched as a television drama in my childhood days and was not much excited. But this time, reading the epic took me to those Mahabharata period, i.e. almost 5000 years back.

Perusing the Kurukshetra war, the soul of Mahabharata, is the best thing happened in my life in recent times :)

I read the concise and interesting version of the war here and, often cleared my doubts and matched the story with Kisari Mohan Ganguli's one-to-one english version here

One of the fascinating events happened in Kurukshetra war is the formation of an array called Chakravyuha on the thirteenth day of the battle. The vyuha which was aimed to captive 'Yudhisthira' turns out to reveal one of the most lovable hero of the war 'Abhimanyu', who at the end of the day attains heroic death.

I was so interested in knowing about the design, the formation size, the military science and ways of penetrating and breaking chakravyuha. I literally filtered the whole internet but not able to get much information about this.

As far as I know, there were two main theories for Chakravyuha
* It could be a 7 rings of circle with warriors rotating in liason
* It could be a 7-tier spiral formation with warriors spiralling in and out - as in this wiki page.

The book 'The Mahabharata - a modern rendering' has some good information on Chakra Vyuha and beautifully describes the prowess of Abhimanyu on that day.

But still... no concrete information could be found on Chakravyuha. I wonder if there is anyone who published an article on this? Maybe, I should do it :)

Enthiran is too good. A powerful sci-fi story told in a very simple and neat manner.

I never expected Rajini to be as good in action and acting. He simply blew me out.

Ash is also dashing, but not so natural as in Raavanan.

I missed the climax (the mother of all Indian cinema climax) due to unfortunate timing, will need to watch it again sooner :(

Well, I had a heavy lunch at office and was little dizzy. So started to browse for some interesting article and ended up in this.

It was about a war that just took me right into the battle field as if I am watching a matinee movie :)

A war that was fought by nearly 4million soldiers with 1.5millon on one side and 2.5 on the other....but ended with just 12 warriors to spare, after 18 days.

Watch this movie with no expectations and with no thoughts of Ramayana or a movie from ManiRatnam etc. You will appreciate it, probably at the second time.

It is one of the beautiful movies from India.

Cons:

The portrayal of the feelings for revenge being less than the feelings for love
Expectation: If you are eager to see a modern day Ramayana, you are definitely disappointed, as the movie leaves us the decision to make - who is right?
Missing of regional feel in dressing etc.
Bit long flashback in the second half
bak bak bak - although this was used in the climax as a way of portraying the heroine's 'acceptance' for Veera's stay back request, a better way could have been chosen.

It was pleasant to be back in hyd, although a short stay. I was busy following my project plan but still had good moments with my team mates and friends.

Played Cricket [Runs in matches: 1, many, many, 0] :-), went to Chilkur balaji, shopped in Inorbit and had fun with friends.

A memorable one and yes, there is a small moment of pride for being back as a client to the same work place where you were an associate just a year back.

I planned this with my TCS friend Subu whom I happened to meet in bus on my way to office. The plan was to roam in Edinburgh on first day, take a coach tour to lochness on second day and to visit Raj's place on third day and go trekking with him in a nearby falls.

Raj is my roommate in Peterborough who is settled in Edinburgh. Although a senior architect and a head of the family, he behaves like a friend to me and is very kind.

The first day went as per plan. We covered National Museum, ate at Kalpana veg restaurant, went to Calton hills and took a short walk on the Royal Mile street at night. The famous but usual Edinburgh castle was reserved for the last day,

The second day went busy with Timberbush coach trip. The guide was funny and more passionate for Scotland calling every top leaders in the world is from Scot origin, few include Bush, Blair, Brown, Cameron...

On third day, Raj picked us up to his home where we had delicious south indian food and started to falls of Clyde with him and his son. The sights on the way to the falls was superb. I was just shooting everything on the way in my nikon. He then dropped us back in edinburgh castle which was our last stop before taking the train.

I booked it couple of months ago. It lived upto the expectations. Infact everyone in the O2 wanted him to 'play more' :-)

I just expected him to play some remixes of famous songs, but he did totally in his own way which is very interesting. The stage was colorful and artistic reflecting more of Rahman's nature.

A different music to my ears and a different experience to myself.

Good one.

By the way, it was also a triathlon day in Hyde Park, London; where I roamed and watched in the evening before starting to O2

Finn trip

My friend Jagan came to Finland for nokia project (what else then...), so Why not a trip to Finn? but its not as easy as just booking and flying to Finland as I am in Tier1.

I need to apply for Schengen Visa but the Finland embassy wants to see everyone in person before issuing visa. So I applied leave and went all the way to London, they just took 2 minutes to look at me and get my passport for further processing. dah!

ok, I got my visa. Hoped for multiple entry so I could go other places in europe, but they just gave single entry. dah dah!

I was joined by Richard at Helsinki airport, stayed at Salo (jagan's place) and roamed in Helsinki and Turku. I was so eager to go this trip because of my new Nikon SLR camera. I started shooting more than 500 pics in first 3 days of my trip. oooooh! Jagan was not happy since his portraits weren't as good as expected, I think may be he was planning to give his pics for bride selection :-)

It ended as a nice and fun trip with some really awesome pics I have ever took.

On day 1, we went to GoCarting and Paintball shooting. Both were awesome and fun.

On day 2, we went to pleasure beach.There were many rides in pleasure beach, I was little scared to take the Pepsi Max BIG ride but took many others and enjoyed with fear :-)

On day 3, did a little shopping, casinos and return home.

a Cycle's rest

My first day in Snow was awesome. I didn't expect so much snow on the first day in my life :)

A normal visit to a nearby lake with my roomies (Chetan, Amit & Shveta) turned to be a surprise fun and a memorable one. I walked a little on the iced lake, skated on the snow by sitting on a plastic signboard, took some best shots with Canon SLR camera (hey, dont see the cycle pic, thats from my iphone).

I was then 25 years old. I had everything except courage to chase one of my dreams and then one day I took the most expected risk. I then saw this world, a totally different in experience. It was all good and sweet... for a short time.

I then realised that as day grows and as you become older and older, the desire for worldly posessions grew in you knowingly or unknowingly. It is so hard to pull yourself out of you and see the drama around this earthly world.

You are pulled to yourself. I am pulled to myself... well, consciously into this unknown!

The trick now lies in How I am getting out of it. If I fail, I will then be just like another family guy who will go more and more selfish for a future of another couple or so humans who bonds to me as my most related.

In short, I am no more 25, ha ha ha.

When I was a kid, the crackers start to burst a week before deepavali day arrive, it sounds everywhere from early morning to the time till school starts and in evenings once the schools are left. Even a Law need to be passed to stop the tyres burnt during this season.

Such is the craze among the children to fire crackers, more ego issues raises here as 'who fires more'.
Such is a fun to watch kids doing all crazy stuffs in firing, from bursting small tunnels to litting inside a frog.

Back to Present:

Last time, I am at home celebrating quietly without firing a cracker :)

This time, its me alone near London home preparing to go home for a 3 week break.

Such is a truth when a kid grows to be a man. Sometimes I wonder why we have this transformation that loses our innocence and brings us into the harsh reality

Though being alone for 2 nights and 1 day, it didn't make me though.

With TV & laptop-broadband, you can survive some hrs.

Luckily i had my office badminton tourny, so the day just gone like a flash (though i went only till quarter finals and fought brave)

Watching Friends series is the main entertainment for me at nights. Also helped Bala to decide his laptop and paid the rent in the evening. Need to watch the good collection of movies in Thyagy's lapi.

What else, one more night to go...

Run Sports

When someone in the team came up with an idea of conducting sports events, i was slightly reluctant but just gave my name for the events (carrom, chess, tt, snooker)

The task of organising the event was handed to a fresher girl and an experienced guy in automation team. They tried to mail the team everyday with the list of participants and dates of events, but eventually everyone forgot them after closing the mail box. This really turned to be a pain for them, they even failed to start the first game since participants are busy or not present.

Well, i thought the only way to solve this is to have a website where they can see the dates of their matches and comments on results. I also had a plan to put all participants pics in the site so they get some attention and responsibility.

I designed a brand new sports site for my team events, also a pretty decent one and launched it as a surprise. It really worked. Everyone got excited and attracted to the event.

I too liked the site and came up with more features like Scrolling team pics (flash), Blog roll, Image gallery(Ajax control) etc. to add more spice to the event.

Well, after a long time, i did something with passion and creativity

One day with One rupee

It was a day that i got up as usual late, relaxed, got ready, packed food and rushed to station to catch my 10'o clock train. My stomach grunned and reminded me that I had just one banana before leaving from home. Well, why not a have a tea meantime before the train reaches in a couple of mins.

But the surprisingly danger fact is, I had just 1rupee in my pocket. Just 1 Rupee to start the day, not even a tea costs that in Urban india (its 2.50 bucks minimum). The mmts train pass saved the day for me to reach office and i totally forgot about this dangerous fact. For lunch, i ate the food that i prepared and took in the box. In the evening, I went for a tea break with my friend (obviously he paid for me), that kept my 1 buck still in my purse :)

The thought that i should withdraw from ATM striked now and then but i never cared about it much as i was in a safer office zone. After a bit long client meeting in the evening i rushed to the train station where i was aware again that i have just 1 rupee in my pocket, this time it was a clear mistake.

Well, there is nothing else i could do except to spend it :) and get a few fried groundnuts for that 1 rupee from the poor farmer who sells it everyday at the station platform. The groundnuts tasted good in my train journey back home.

Atlast i felt good for spending the 1 Rupee worth it... and oops... now i got 0 bucks with me :)

Yeah, a record has been set by me not in olympics but in cooking.

I just did a solo performance and cooked for all my roomies which indeed is an achievement for me :)

Driving nearly 50 kms(one-way), extending deep into the nature, crossing villages and districts (from kadapa to ananthapur), the search ends here

Botanical Garden, Pondicherry

I am in Pondy for a week break, got a chance to go to Botanical Garden (when we didnt get ticket for a movie and don't know where to spend the afternoon) :)

The garden was bit shaggy and clearly not in a good maintenance, but still the essence of the century years old trees remembered my sweet days i spent there in olden days.

I played cricket in the garden with my school friends and even studied there for my semester exams during my college. It is one of my favorite spot (which was in good shape in my school days)

Here's one thing i saw new in the garden, which is actually very old :)

In page 67 of the book "The Doomsday Conspiracy", Sidney Sheldon says

But why did he mention as East India rather just India. Probably if he had mentioned as 'Indian Sitar' music, the western world would think it is a music of american Red Indians. They even dont know the name Red Indians was derived because of us. I think, the day Columbus landed in the west was the Doomsday where we not only lost our richness but also the richness of the word 'India'.

Anyway, experiment proves that our Sitar music is simply the best music even nature likes :)

The weekend visit to East Andhra for my colleague's marriage made me to think 'why not a trip around India?'

The lush greenary on the banks of Godavari & the small canal that runs paralled to the road (with farm fields on both sides till the end of eyesight), quietly energises the soul & eyes.

An interesting incident happened this time

Thyagy & me reached the spot a bit late (as usual) and joined the queue at the Security gate to get pass. Only when i said to Thyagy to get ready with the company ID card, i realised i didnt bring it (as usual). Luckily ADP gives a small card that i kept in my purse, so i took it and said 'hey heres' my ADP card'. I heard a voice from behind

X: Are you from ADP?

Me: Yes, how abt you?

X: No, I worked for ADP long back

Me: Oh, nice meeting you, so where do you work now?

X: I dont work... I earn by blogging and live blogging

Me: Oh, so are you like Amit Agarwal? (wondering how many people started like Amit but the reply i heard was a little shock, probably now a simple guess for you)

X: I am Amit Agarwal

Me: (oh my god, am i speaking to Amit, the first professional Indian blogger) Nice meeting you Amit (at the road)

and thats a least way you expect to meet the celebrity of the day :)

I took snaps of my mother's beautiful kolam , she drew on each day of pongal festival and uploaded in flickr

She makes her best artistic vision in designing the kolam in notebook to making it real in roads.

Badminton

This time i was too eager to participate in Hyd 10K run , one of the famous run, jog or walk event in hyd. I registered for the event and even thought of going for a practise session arranged by the company

What happened atlast is a simple guess :)... ya, i didn't go for the event. but didn't miss the big event the day before, guess what...

note: if you have guessed someting by sneaking the above Photo, its a old trick (that too after i have clearly mentioned in the topic)

itz for Badminton practice... right, many of you might not be knowing that i am a good (சரி) decent badminton(shuttle) player.

I went for a professional classes (நம்புங்கப்பா) from std. XIII to IX and then dropped due to 10th exams. It then resumed at the college third year (iam not sure though) where myself and Mouly represented year (3rd yr Vs 2yr) and lost to some national players :) (இதையும் நம்பித்தான் ஆகனும்).

Then i went to trivandrum for my TCS training, where we had 2 shuttle courts in our hotel. But it was a new environment where people from Delhi, Calcutta, Punjab, Pondicherry all gathered. The guys from North took the courts and started playing as if they were the best (no bias here, just the rouse fact).

I just waited for my turn to enter and it arrived. That was most memorable badminton days where i just smashed the opponents and made them to turn back. Quickly earned some good badminton friends (and lost ofcourse, this was 3 yrs back). I still remember one guy who bowed and touched my feet during the last days of shuttle play for my simplicity and powerplay (sounds like trumpetting???)

...and then after a huge gap, i touched my racket for the company tournament (March 07) where i went till quarters and then it was just this Saturday (அதுக்குள்ள ஆறு மாசம்) for company practise for the upcoming tourny.

By Anand Natarajan Talk of Puducherry and the first thing that comes to mind is Auroville and the sun-kissed beaches all around. But behind the sense of calm is a bustling industrial hub that has, yet again, catapulted the state to the top slot in the "small state" category. For a state known for its generosity in doling out freebies and subsidies, Puducherry has done remarkably well. Its relentless pursuit of growth-oriented schemes has resulted in a balanced development, with the state garnering a GDP of Rs 7, 196.17 crore for 2005-06 and recording a per capita income of Rs 61,064.

Puducherry's economic growth rides on its industrial growth. In the 1950s, it had just three textile mills and five small industries. Today, it boasts of 71 heavy industries, 168 medium enterprises and 7,632 small enterprises. The state's industrial policy, which seeks to make it the nation's hardware capital, gives a special thrust to information technology, biotechnology, agro-processing, auto ancillaries and electronics. Puducherry's economy depends on agriculture as well. But dwindling land availability and a depleting water table are threatening the sector. Efforts are on to meet the challenge with the state budget allocating Rs 25.11 crore for agro-related operations.

Puducherry scores high on education and also on sops. Though the free midday meal scheme is on everywhere, it is the only state to also provide free breakfast, umbrellas and rain coats. The state accords priority to health. It recorded a per capita expenditure of Rs 1,071 in healthcare, the highest in the country, in 2006-07. A sum of Rs 21.78 crore is being spent on the tourism sector this year. This will be complemented by an ambitious expansion of Pondicherry Airport. As it chugs along nicely on several fronts, Puducherry's front runner status is secure. But if it doesn't pull its act together on heavy subsidies and freebies, its place could be challenged.

This captaincy took a lot out of my batting consistency (அட நம்புங்கப்பா) which i need to get back, more important is to reduce getting ducks :)

It was good weekend for me with a blasting opening in the first match and played a sensible cricket in the third match to victory but asusual got a duck in the second match :)

Being an aggressive batsman, I just follow 2 main techniques in my batting

Raise out of the grease, go for the ball & shoot where it is getting pitched. In this way you avoid any swing that makes you play hard

If you feel the bowler is gonna bowl lenght or short pitch, look where it is getting pitched - close your eyes, imagine a trajectory path of it reaching your bat & swing your bat at the right time

நான்: MSI நல்லா இருக்குமா, அப்ப MSI மதர்போர்டே கொடுங்க, அந்த மதர்போர்டோட விடீயோ மெமரி எவ்வளவு?

கடைக்காரன்: ....
நான்: 128 MB'ஆ, ok

அடுத்து என்ன வாங்கனும்னு நினைச்சேன்...

நான்: ஆ.. 1 DVD Writer கொடுங்க - Serial -ATA (SATA) DVD drive தான் வேண்டும்,
ஹார்ட் டிஸ்க் IDE technologyla இருக்கும்போது, DVDயும் IDE'a இருந்தா ஸ்பீடா இருக்காதுன்னு இண்டிகா கம்ப்யூட்டர்காரன் சொன்னது நியாபகம் வந்தது.

கடைக்காரன்: ....
நான்: Sony'la மட்டும்தான் SATA-DVD இருக்கா, ஒகே. என்ன மெளலி, 1 GB RAM போடலாமா, இல்ல 512 MB போதுமா?

மெளலி: இன்னொருதடவ 512 MB போடப்போறியா?
நான்: (கடைக்காரனை நோக்கி) 1 GB RAM கொடுத்திடுங்க.

வேறென்ன ஒரேயொரு கேபினட் தான் பாக்கி....

ஆகமொத்தம் என்னோட பழைய ஹார்டிஸ்க தவிர பார்த்தா, ஒரு புது CPU'வே வாங்கியாச்சு. மேட்டர் என்னன்னா எல்லாம் பார்ட்ஸ் பார்ட்ஸா இருக்கு. ஒரு சாஃப்ட்வேர் இஞ்சினியரா இருந்த என்ன கடைசியா ஒரு ஹார்ட்வேர் இஞ்சினியரா ஆக்கிபுட்டாங்க. எப்படியோ புத்தகத்த பார்த்து ஒருவழியா எல்லாத்தையும் கேபினட்டுக்குள்ள அடைச்சாச்சு, DVD-drive மட்டும்தான் உள்ள போகமாட்டேன் அடம்புடிச்சுது.

Cabinet Front Panel'a திறடா, ஈசியா உள்ள வச்சிடலாம்னு மனோஜ் சொல்ல, பையன் ஹார்ட்வேரிலும் பெரிய ஆளுபோலன்னு நினைச்சி மாங்கு மாங்குன்னு கஷ்டப்பட்டு ரெண்டு பேரும் சேர்ந்து திறக்க, அப்ப வந்த சிரினிவாசன் சும்மா ரெண்டு தட்டு தட்டி DVD'a உள்ள வைக்க, எங்க ரெண்டுபேரு முகத்தையும் கொஞ்சம் பார்க்கணுமே :)

எப்படியோ கடைசியா Windows XP media center'a போட்டு பார்த்தபோது ஒரு அழகிய மகிழ்ச்சி, நாமலே அசெம்பிள் பண்ணதாச்சே...

a beautiful country with shires & counties... with woods & farms

I once dreamt my way to office to be surrounded with nature, filled with farmlands on one side , bunchy trees on the other side with pleasant drive of air that energizing you. But anyone who lives in Chennai or hyderabad would know that you can only dream of it :)

Its the dream come true while travelling from Oundle - the place i lived in England - to Peterborough - the place where my office is. The 10 miles of journey takes me to my dream everyday...

Oundle - an ancient market town, also has one of the England's top school - the Oundle school, running for 450+ years (WOW). Its a small town where you can go around in 20 mins by walk but Peterborough is a modern city, an important rail hub connecting London to the North.

Sometimes or to say most of the times in the evening when i am alone in my cottage, it was really boring for me. Thanks to the England's TV channels, i found some programmes of good interest to me

'England got Talent'
'20th Century Battlefields',
The Rise and the Fall of - Tony Blair, Maragarat Thatcher
The making of Deep Throat

are some programmes helped to pass my time until i get sleep.

But the most beautiful pass time is watching the Extended edition of the Lord of the Rings. There were also special DVD's on how they made it. hmm, here's my movie list in UK trip

சும்மா சொல்லக்கூடாது, சங்கர் ரஜினிய ட்ரில்லு வாங்கியிருக்காரு. எத்தனை கெட்டப்பு, எத்தன ஸ்டைலு... வாவ். சிவாஜி கணேசனா, எம்.ஜி.ஆரா, கமலா டான்ஸ் ஆடவச்சு ரஜினியோட சின்ன வயசு ஆசையை எல்லாம் நிறைவேற்றி வச்சிருக்காரு

ரஜினியும் அடிதூள் கிளப்பியிருக்காரு, என்னா ஃபைட்டு, பிரமாண்டத்த சங்கருக்கு சொல்லிதரணுமா என்ன? ஒவ்வொரு பாட்டும் சும்மா நச்சுனு எடுத்திருக்காரு. ஏ.ஆர்.ரகுமானுக்கும் பாட்டு செட்டுக்காகவுமே படத்த இன்னொருமுறை பார்க்கலாம்.

இப்ப ஸ்கிரீன்ப்ளே, கதைக்கு வருவோம்
சங்கர் தன்னோட வழியில் இருந்து கொஞ்சம் வெளியே வந்து டைரக்ட் பண்ணியிருக்காருன்னு சொல்லலாம். ரஜினி படத்துல அவர் காமெடி பண்ணலன்னா எப்படி? அதனால சீரியஸான கதைய ரஜினிக்காக காமெடி கலந்து கொஞ்சம் லைட்டா தந்திருக்கார்.

எப்போதும் அரசியல்வாதிகளை கிழிச்சு காட்டுற சங்கர், இந்த படத்துல (அதுவும் இந்த கதைக்கு) அவர்கள அவ்வளவா சீண்டாதது ஏன்னு தெரியல, ரஜினியோட அன்புக்கட்டளையோ?

ஆனா 'இந்தியன்' படத்துல மைல்கல்ல கூட மிஸ் பண்ணாத சங்கர், இந்த படத்துல மிகப்பெரிய ஓட்டைகள எப்படி கண்டுக்காம விட்டார்னு தெரியல. ஒரு வருஷத்துக்கு படம் எடுத்தா கதை மறந்திடுமா என்ன?

எது எப்படியோ தலைவர் படம், நம் இந்திய மக்களுக்கு ஒன்ன தெளிவா சொல்லியிருக்கு - 'பாலிவுட் மட்டும்தான் பெரிய பட்ஜெட் படங்கள பண்ண முடியும்கறது இல்ல - கோலிவுட், டாலிவுட், கோழிவுட்டாலகூட முடியும்னு'.

எனக்கு தெரிந்தவரையில் 'யோகா' என்பது வாழ்க்கையை வெறுத்த சாமியார்கள் எல்லாம் காட்டுல போய் டைம்பாஸ்காக பண்றதுன்னு நினைச்சிருந்தேன். கடைசியா யோகா (பிராணயாமா) பத்தி என் எட்டாவது வகுப்புல படிச்சதா நியாபகம்.

என்னோட ஆஃபீஸ்ல பார்த்த இந்த வார்த்தைகள்தான் என்னை அவங்க கிளாஸ்க்கு இஷா யோகா போகலாமா வேணாமான்னு தோண வைச்சது. அப்பதான் என்னோட ரூமியும் (பாலா) இதுக்கு போயிருக்கிறான் தெரிந்தது.

நாமதான் ஒரு படத்துக்கு போறதுக்கு முன்னாடி, படம் நல்லா இருக்கா இல்லியான்னு கேட்டுட்டு போறவங்களாச்சே.. என்னடா போலாமான்னு அவன்கிட்ட கேட்டா - 'Dont expect anything or Expect the worst'ன்னு சொன்னான். இதகேட்ட பிறகு எவனாவது போவான்னா, ஆனாலும் நாங்க போவோமில்ல...

இன்னும் சற்று நேரத்திலே 'அகிலாண்ட கோடி பிரம்மாண்ட நாயகி அங்காள தேவி பரமேஸ்வரி' வீதியுளா வர இருக்கின்ற காரணத்தினாலே பக்தர்களும் பக்த கோடிகளும் அலைகடலென திரண்டுவந்து அம்மன் அருளை பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம். அதுசமயம் வீதியுளா முடிந்தவுடன் 'சினிமாப் புகழ்' சாதனைப் பறவைகளின் கலைக்கச்சேரி நடைபெறவுள்ளதால், மக்களனைவரும் அம்மன் தேரினை இழுக்க அலைகடலென திரண்டுவருமாறு பணிவுடன் கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம்.

அதுசமயம் வெளி ஊர்களில் உள்ள அன்பு மக்கள், உண்டியல்வரை வந்து காணிக்கை செலுத்த முடியாததை உணர்ந்துள்ள பஞ்சாயத்துக்காரர்கள், அவர்களை நேரடியாக பஞ்சாயத்து கேஷியர் 'கோபு' அவர்களின் ஐசிஐசிஐ வங்கி கணக்குக்கு (000901528165) கடத்திவிடுமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம்.

We all have friends in differenct locations of the world. Here is a small tip to have the clocks of the worlds cities @ your desktop so you may call them for voice chat at the wrong time :) ...

1. Go to http://widgets.yahoo.com/, download and install it

2. You will find many useful widgets in the 'My Widgets' folder

3. To get the world clock showing different cities's time around the world, you should download 'World Clock Pro' widget

4. Go to http://widgets.yahoo.com/gallery/view.php?widget=36128 and download it

5. Double Click on the 'World Clock Pro.widget' to open the analog clock. Also have a look at the license.txt (thats a good practise we never follow :)

6. Now a single click on the clock opens 3 options, clicking on the + sign opens a new clock (expect a delay)

Just play around to get what you want in it...

Sometime in early 2000 Arlo Rose came up with an idea for a cool little application. It would use XML to structure images, and a scriptable language, like Perl, in such a way that someone who knew the basics of Perl could put together cool little mini-applications. The goal was that these mini-applications would just sit around on your desktop looking pretty, while providing useful feedback.

All he ever really wanted was to have a cool looking battery monitor and something that told him the weather, but he knew the possibilities for something like this could potentially be limitless.

Fast forward a couple of years when Arlo began working with Perry Clarke at Sun Microsystems. Over lunch one afternoon Arlo gave Perry the basics of this dream app. Perry suggested that JavaScript would be far easier for people to digest. He was right. It's the basis for Flash's ActionScript, and Adobe's scripting engine for Photoshop. Of all the choices, JavaScript made the most sense. Shortly after that lunch, the two began to spend their nights and weekends making this thing a reality.

Rediffmail is one of the first indian company to implement Ajax in an international style.
They have done what Microsoft is striving hard to implement in their hotmail.

If you forget about the ads and its resemblance to outlook, bringing out such an application to live is simply gr8. I would say they have beaten Microsoft in a way.
Anybody know who implemented the new look to rediff?

The phonetic support to send mails in regional languages simply rocks.

I was all set to go America, one of the dream nations for many Indians.

I just had two reasons to go to US
1. As a S/W engineer, its an implied rule to go to some onsite after 2 years of IT service in an Indian MNC Or else who would need to face this question 'Ennada Rendu varusham aagiyum innum velinaadu pogaliyaa?'
Onsite means some place away from india, may be Uganda or sudan... who cares? but u need to be out of india :-)

2. Ofcourse money, seeing your payslip in dollars...Bingooo. Though not for me...but for my future.

But never expect these companies would take you in their palms and drop in US. Its hell a
lot of process and follow-ups you should do to get things done.

I didn't expect my first international journey would turn to be one of the worst journey in
my life. It all started with the usual delay of Air India (5hrs delayed) that left me in Newark @ 11 in the night missing my connecting flight @ 8

I was given a receipt to take another Continental flight in the next morning @ Terminal A.
The next day got more worser when i discovered that the Continental flights to Atlanta
operates in Terminal C and not in A. To go from one terminal to another u need to get the
Air-Train that runs on top of the airport (as this airport is 10 times bigger than our metro
airports).

It got more worser at Terminal C when i heard it the flight CO-1185 doesn't belongs to
Continental Airlines. I need to run there to get the info abt this flight which is Delta
Airlines operating @ Terminal B

oooooooooof... when i reached there, i had just 15 mins for take-off and a big queue before me. On explaining my emergency to the Delta personnel there, i got an immediate entry to the check-in counter. After checking my receipt and the passport, the lady at the counter said
'you have no seats booked' and asked me to get out of the way for others.

I was just blown for a minute. 'Oh my God'

I asked the Delta personnel to help me out in finding my name again. She checked my name in all the flights and found it in 7'O clock one to Atlanta. 'ooooooooof' was the word i
uttered then.

Atlanta: Iam now at the outskirts of Atlanta working for a retailer on behalf of this MNC
I found only cars and trucks moving in those broad clean roads, not even a bike until the
third day.

Veg Burger, Fish Sandwich, French Fries, Onion Rings were some of the items that filled my
stomach for the first two days in my hotel stay.

Now i have moved to an apartment(do not think of the indian one, this is different) with one of my colleague here (Bharani) who supported me a lot in getting there

There were some gossips that the project would not survive six months here... I don't know what happens next, iam just getting the transition - my work
